The Bodhi Tree 7 Chakra Dress
This handmade Bodhi Tree 7 Chakra Dress is a deeply symbolic and sacred piece of wearable art, inspired by the mystical Wat Mahathat Ayutthaya Bodhi Tree in Thailand, where the Buddha’s head is gracefully intertwined with the tree’s roots. The dress features roots braided from yarn, each string individually placed to mirror the intricate interconnections of nature. Moss adorns the top, while twigs form a circular portal, representing the space where the Buddha’s head can be imagined, inviting the wearer to embody this spiritual essence and become one with the roots of this magical tree.
On the back of the dress, a 7 chakra DNA strand is created using dimensional fabric paint, a visual representation of the songs from my debut album. Alongside the strand, I’ve written my connection to both the dress and the music, with the phrase "everything is connected" repeated on both sides. One side tells the story of my journey through various art forms, while the other reflects on the music that has led me to create this tree dress, a powerful symbol of growth, connection, and transformation. This piece is a celebration of the sacred unity between body, nature, art, and sound.
