CANVAS REBEL - Meet Mei Jen
"We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Mei Jen a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Mei, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?"

LADYGUNN - A Full Body Experience
"The first video work I saw of yours was ‘With Ha Bowls‘. I love the childlike playfulness of incorporating the toys and the use of the dolls in that video. Your ‘Honeydew‘ video has more direct references to your spirituality. Tell us more about what inspired the creative direction?"

TALK OF THE TOWN - Project Preview
"A dip into the realm of the avant-garde, this track from multi-hyphenate creative Buddha Mei is sung entirely in Cantonese, over a beat rife with influences from afro-latin music, dance music, and even musical theater. Although I can’t understand what Mei is saying, the strength of her delivery still conveys the emotion behind her words."

GALLERY PARTICULIER - An evening of self expression
"The enchanting Buddha Mei led the evening with her unique blend of creativity and spirituality.
Using singing bowls and other instruments, she created a calming acoustic environment, guiding us with simple instructions to find our inner peace. It was a truly soothing and immersive experience that set the tone for the rest of the night."

The Brooklyn College Vanguard : Chant to the moon
"Mei’s interpretation of Chant at the Moon Day offered guests an enlightened perspective on spirituality and the lunar holiday as a whole. While there may not have been actual howling, attendees nonetheless let it out spiritually at the new moon, making their manifestations heard."
